The University of Central Punjab (UCP), Lahore, Pakistan, in collaboration with the Center for Sri Lankan Women Thinkers and Scientists, Department of Philosophy and Psychology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka; Paderborn University, Germany; and the History of Women Philosophers and Scientists (HWPS.de), is organizing the 1st International Conference on Women Thinkers and Scientists 2027. The aim of this conference is to create a global platform for exchange on the philosophical and scientific work of women across history and cultures. It brings together academics, researchers, philosophers, scientists, and educators from around the world to examine the wisdom and knowledge women have produced, and how it has shaped, and continues to shape, our understanding of philosophy, science, and society. Special emphasis will be placed on the wisdom of Asian women, whose intellectual traditions remain significantly underexplored in global scholarship, while also welcoming comparative and cross-cultural perspectives from Eastern, Western, European, and other regions. Through academic presentations and open discussion, participants will engage both historical and contemporary perspectives on these interconnected themes. By fostering rigorous, inclusive exchange, the conference aims to deepen understanding of women's intellectual and scientific work, inspire collaborative research, and support a more representative body of knowledge. We believe this gathering will leave a lasting impact and contribute meaningfully to future scholarship, education, and policy on gender and knowledge.
